UPDATE-Looking for illustrations or professional graphic design please head over to http://www.brandedbaron.com
2013 is over and it’s time to work on plenty of new art for 2014. As I look back on some of the creations I did back in 2013, I decided to post some of my favorites. I hope to greatly improve my skill and learn more, so I can grow as a designer and an artist.
Below are 13 designs in no particular order.
Pharaoh Skull
Available for prints, phone cases, and more on Society 6.
The bottom right is the finished product. This was created for Bluu Dreams’ Art Pop up Shop. I used water color paint and markers to come up with this design. I really liked the way this came out.
This was a fun small piece mixing markers and spray paint. I had this idea for awhile and was able to make this work for the Bluu Dreams show. This small piece was entitle “Scubrella”
This design had some tweaks from the original and it had me playing more with the camouflage mostly. I like that was able to sneak the United States in there as well as one of the Branded Baron icons.
This was a fun design. I completed this in time for the Fourth of July.
I was in the mood to play with my Prisma markers and working on this felt very relaxing.
This was at the first Munny Social hosted by the Artoholiks and I had a really time doing this.
Black and gold were colors that stand out on white and I wanted to a create a whole series using black and gold ink. I wanted to combine graphic design, an attractive woman with fine art. This is actually a small piece. 8″x10″.
Charcoals are more forgiving when working an illustration and this actually looks better in person than in the picture. I based this off the classic horror movie “The Mummy” and added a Rook baseball cap for their little instagram contest.
This design looks great on a the printed t-shirts(available here) This is simple, but I wanted to add my own twist with the word “passion”. The phrase is a powerful phrase, but I decided to add my take on it for the streetwear market.
This is probably my favorite design and I think a big part of it has to do with this being a Christmas present for my brother. He is a huge Knicks fan and I added Knicks players from the past to the present. I had this printed on a 16″x20″ canvas and it looked great. This was a fun little design, where I got to play around with one of my favorite design elements “splatter”. Maybe this can help me get into the sports art market.
2014 – It’s time to create some kick ass art.
