It’s that right around the corner, the last Munny Social of the year. Am I looking forward to it? You’ve seen the previous posts of past Munny Socials, so yes I am. When there’s a good vibe in the air from the people, music, delicious food, and creative flow it’s addictive. If you want to have fun through creativity and meeting new people I say try this out. $18 is the cost and you could win some cool prizes alongside of the awesome munny that you create.

I hope to see you there,
The Zero Bundle is a great little gift to all designers out there. It contains templates, icons, photoshop actions, fonts, and more. It seems like it was put together by the people from Web Depot and I would like to thank them. Thank you and all the people who helped give this away. I feel you can never have too many tools in your arsenal. Download it while you can.

Last Sunday was the second Munny Social hosted by the Artoholiks and it was a major success again. I firmly believe in creative social events like these and will support as best as I can, because if they provide good time and a creative outlet then it is a win. This time it was held at a different location with food provided by Charles Davis of Cliff’s Kitchen. I invited my a couple people to this and a couple came through which was great, especially since they had a fun time.
When I arrived I had a chance to pick my own vinyl figurine and I decided to switch it from the Munny and try out the Kid Robot Foomi. There was the option of the Raffy which was like a four legged cow and giraffe vinyl toy that I did not find cool, but some people were to work their magic on it. The table I was at, was the loud table, because we were just talking cracking jokes and just killing it with the creativity. My boy and photographer rolled through wearing the Born An Original, Don’t Die A Copy crewneck(awesome) and brought his friend Dalila to the event. I spent more time yapping away then focusing on the Foomi, so I did not feel my design was going to win by the end of it. I told myself I was going to win this time around, but maybe next time. Third time’s the charm right? I suggested to Iquan and Aleesha that the community votes on who wins the top 2 best designs. We were told that the top 2 blew everyone out the water in the votes. Dalila who came late, but did not mess around at all killed it and won the best design as well did Laytonic. I’m proud I was in the top 5. The talent pool was a lot better this time around and the competition was fierce.
Overall, the mission was a success, everyone had fun, hung out with liked- minded people, enjoyed good food, learned something new, prizes were won, and expressed themselves in a creative way. The 3rd and final Munny Social for 2013 will be on October 27th. The location is to be announced, but I’m sure you’ll see it. I’m going to suggest for a Halloween theme for everyone’s Munny.
